Keri “The Carrier of Hope” Rice

Keri Rice is the steady, smiling superhero of UpStreet Sidewalk Sunday School, where every Saturday she’s armed with a heart full of hope, a bucket of patience, and a camera that never seems to leave her side. Whether it’s leading Bible stories, corralling kids mid-chaos, or stepping in when the unexpected happens, Keri captures it all—from moments of joy to the tiniest expressions of faith—ensuring every child knows they’re loved, valued, and seen. She’s a master at turning everyday moments into lasting memories, whether through photos or simply the way she makes kids feel special.

Keri is all about families, believing that every child is just one hand-to-hold away from stepping into God’s amazing plans for them. She leads kids with love, especially when the road ahead seems unclear, guiding them toward faith and hope, no matter how winding the journey. Along the way, she finds beauty in the small things—like the way a child’s face lights up in understanding or the excitement in their eyes as they grow in their faith—and makes sure to capture those moments with her camera, so they can be remembered forever.

When she’s not busy on the sidewalk, Keri is holding down the fort at home with her husband of 18 years, Alex, and their two hilarious and awesome kids, Myles and Kylie. And whether she’s journaling, enjoying the sunset, or chasing after her energetic kids, her camera is never far away, ready to freeze those fleeting moments. From the everyday chaos of family life to the tranquil beauty of a sunset, Keri makes sure to preserve the memories that matter most, because for her, every moment is worth capturing.

For Keri, Sidewalk Sunday School is more than a ministry—it’s a calling. She’s on a mission to carry hope straight into the hearts of kids, one warm smile, heartfelt prayer, and guiding hand at a time. And with a camera always in hand, she ensures that each step of the journey is both lived and remembered, showing kids that every moment of their story is special in God’s eyes.
