Jan “The Whovian” Cromer

Jan Cromer has spent over 30 years in ministry, proving you can handle both a children’s ministry, and a Dr. Seuss obsession—while staying grounded, like Horton’s promise to hear every Who!

Jan leads UpStreet, a Sidewalk Sunday School Mobile Ministry, where high-energy games, gospel messages, and music come together like a Thing 1 and Thing 2 of fun and faith! With a heart bigger than the Grinch’s heart after his transformation (and that’s saying something!), Jan dreams of expanding this impactful ministry into all of our inner-city areas, offering children not just hope for today but a hope as strong as Horton’s belief in the speck—ready to carry them into tomorrow!

When she’s not reaching neighborhoods with her UpStreet team, Jan is at Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she’s the children’s pastor and chief cheerleader for her Saturate kids. Watching them grow in Christ and dive into their faith fills her heart with more joy than a Sneetch finding their star. She lives for those moments when kids realize they’re the stars of their own God-written stories—because, let’s be honest, they’re a little like Horton—big-hearted and destined to hear the call to change the world, one Who at a time!

When she’s not in ministry mode, Jan is busy snapping photos, capturing the whimsical escapades of her family, and proving that life with her husband, grandkiddos and two grown children is worthy of a Seuss-style storybook! Whether she’s making memories or making waves in the ministry world, one thing is clear: Jan Cromer’s life is as bold, colorful, and joy-filled as a Dr. Seuss tale—and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
