James

“Big Game James”

James Peak is a high-energy guy with a big heart, and he’s a proud member of Hope Fellowship Church in Anderson. Originally from California, James has a competitive streak a mile wide—he loves sports, competitive games, and anything that gets his adrenaline pumping. From running 5Ks to marathons (because, why not?), he’s always up for a race. When he’s not running, you can find him riding and training horses on the weekends, or hitting the golf course, hiking, or getting into a fierce game of tennis. He even dabbles in painting—because who says you can’t be competitive and artistic?

James is also a huge asset to the Sidewalk Sunday School team. Not only does he bring the fun, but he is the fun! The kids absolutely adore him, and his excitement is downright contagious. He’s the kind of guy who’ll do anything to put a smile on a kid’s face—whether it’s dressing up as Buddy the Elf for the Elf Mission (yes, he did that), or taking on any challenge thrown his way. No task is too big or small when it comes to serving these kids, and he goes above and beyond every time.

Oh, and did we mention that he’s also a man of faith? He loves God with all his heart and does his best to walk in His ways (with a competitive edge, of course). And, just when you thought he couldn’t get any more awesome—he’s also won the heart of Christy, one of the other SSS team members. Yep, they’re engaged. So, when he’s not running races or dressing up as an elf, he’s got a wedding to plan!
