Christy Robinson A.K.A “Yeehaw Betsy”
Christy Robinson is a whirlwind of kindness, hard work, and faith, leaving a trail of encouragement and love wherever she goes, probably even creating a small heavenly breeze along the way. She has a natural gift for lifting others up with a kind word, or simply showing up when someone is in need, like a real-life superhero—except instead of a cape, she probably rocks a good pair of boots.
One of Christy’s greatest gifts is her deep love for kids, especially those involved in Sidewalk Sunday School. She has an uncanny ability to see the potential and uniqueness in each child, recognizing things others may miss, whether it’s a quiet heart that just needs a little encouragement or a hidden talent waiting to be nurtured. She pours her heart into making sure every child knows they are seen, loved, and valued—because every kid deserves to feel that way.
By day, Christy works in insurance, where she’s the calm in the storm of life’s challenges. She’s the person who can talk you through a crisis with calm, while making you feel like everything is going to be okay (and offering you a chai latte, just to seal the deal). Outside of work, she pours her heart into her horse business. She takes care of every horse with the dedication of a parent at a school play—making sure they’re safe, healthy, and loved, with just the right amount of hay and TLC. She also trains horses and works tirelessly to ensure that every stall is spotless and every horse feels like royalty. Her work is truly a reflection of God’s creation, proving that even the barnyard is a holy place when done with love and care.
Christy’s walk with God is at the very center of her life, and she finds joy in serving Him through her work, ministry, and in being a source of love and grace to those around her. A faithful member of Hope Fellowship in Anderson, Christy dedicates herself to growing in faith and helping others do the same. Together with her fiancé, James Peak, a fellow Sidewalk Sunday School team member, they make an unbeatable team, serving God and others with grace, humility, and a passion for inspiring those around them to love and serve more deeply—perhaps with a chai latte in hand.
