Alex Rice is a husband, father, and certified coffee enthusiast who’s swapped lazy Saturday mornings for full-speed ministry. As much as he’d love to spend his Saturdays lounging with a coffee cup in hand, Alex knows that nothing beats investing in the next generation. His mission? To make sure every child feels seen, loved, and ready to take on the world—even if it means doing it on a steady stream of caffeine and the occasional prayer.

Alex is always on the go, whether its for his family, ministry, or everything in between, his aim and dedication to keep things on track drives him to keep going. At UpStreet Sidewalk Sunday School, he powers through the chaos like a superhero, phone in one hand and a coffee cup in the other, whether he’s rallying the kids, hyping up games, or fixing the mayhem that inevitably unfolds, Alex is always ready to make a difference. His energy? Powered by caffeine. His purpose? Fueled by faith. 

When he’s not managing the whirlwind of SSS fun, Alex is thinking about the next thing that needs to get done—whether it’s learning new skills or simply keeping up with balancing ministry and family. Alex is also happy to be involved in Camp Mariposa where he ministers and mentors at risk youth to keep their futures healthy and bright.
